Mental Math Duels in Numiq by NumiqPlay
Live 1v1 arithmetic racing with server-verified ELO — inside the free Numiq app.
How a 1v1 duel works
- Matchmake or challenge a friend. Enter the Arena for global matchmaking against a comparable rating, or generate a room code and send it to a friend.
- Identical problems. Both players get the same seeded set — no luck of the draw, just speed and accuracy.
- Race live. Your rival's progress streams in real time over WebSocket. First to 7 points wins the duel.
- Server-verified ELO. The backend scores the match and adjusts both ratings — results can't be faked client-side. Then rematch instantly or review head-to-head history.
Duels need a connection — every other Numiq mode (Blitz, CrossMath, Target Vault, Sum Pyramid, Sequence, Everyday Quant, Zen) runs fully offline.

Duels FAQ
How do 1v1 mental math duels work in Numiq?
Two players receive an identical seeded problem set and race in real time — first to 7 wins. The server verifies the result and adjusts both players' ELO. Global matchmaking, friend room codes and instant rematch are supported.
Can opponents cheat in duels?
No — both players see the same seeded problems, timing is measured server-side, and ELO is computed on the server. The client cannot invent a result.
Do I need an account to duel?
No — play as a guest instantly. Linking Apple or Google later secures your ELO and progress across devices.
Are duels cross-platform?
Yes — iOS is live now (App Store ID 6823729449), Android is in rollout, and duels work across platforms.
